BRINGING BACK THE BEAUTY

The glory of this heritage homestead was revived over a full year of construction. It was important to our family that each intervention strengthen its centuries-old character.

There are many authentic interior details, such as the cast-iron rimlocks and antique glass. At every turn there is another hallmark of style. Warm inviting colors and antique textures make this farmhouse feel like a well-loved home. Of course, there are also many modern comforts, too! Hot water, central air-conditioning, and an updated electrical service were meticulously stitched into the existing structure.

The unassuming scale creates a home that is authentic but unpretentious. Tall double-hung windows draw upon old-world needs to bathe the interior with natural daylight. Our team maintained all the historical woodwork in its original location. Door jambs, window sills, and baseboards kept their quirks... and continue to add their unique country charm.

Special Thanks

As the adage goes: it takes a village--literally. This restoration took the full gathering of our friends and family. To all the weekend warriors who joined us--we are forever grateful!

We'd like to extend special recognition to some of very important people: Bruce Richter, Cody Smith, Adam Steimetz, and Jordan Strybos--without you, we'd still have years of scraping, lifting, and painting to do. We cannot thank you enough!
